For my biography project on Prince Albert I had to complete an exercise where I drew something related to his life that I had never seen before. Afterwards I then had to draw it from a reference photo, then draw it again from memory. The class only had 10 minutes to complete each drawing. Balmoral Castle was my choice of subject.

My terrordactyl in it’s natural habitat. A fiercely territorial and solitary creature, it lives in a series of crystal caves deep within a mountain range. It ventures outside at night to collect moonlight in its horn.

Costume/creature ideas for the Author project. We had to construct a costume of a primeval creature whose body reflected and satisfied our needs. I thought that an avian creature would accommodate my needs of the sky, a nest and flight, and incorporated some skeletal aspects for a memento mori. And beauty…well…it’s in the eye of the beholder.

Cover and first page of my little book of needs. As part of the Author project we had to create a list of five needs and then draw images depicting how they affect our life.

My five needs were:

  1. The Sky
  2. Memento Mori
  3. Flight
  4. A Nest
  5. Beauty

Poster created for a school project. We had to draw a poster or create an object that illustrated a news article we found over winter break. His uniform should be Air Force blue since it’s the branch of military he belongs to, but I made the decision to change it to green since I think it’s more recognizable and associated with the military. I’m still on the fence about the change since it isn’t accurate although I think it works better visually.
